
These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure your dog has a happy and healthy time while staying with us and are therefore non-negotiable.
All known health and behavioural conditions must be declared.
All dogs are boarded at Riverside Kennels at the owner’s risk, under these terms & conditions.
Illness or injury
In the event of illness or injury we reserve the right to seek treatment for your dog from a registered veterinary surgeon of our choice if necessary. Payment of any vet fees will be the responsibility of the owner.
Medication
Minor health conditions and medications can be catered for and administered. You will be required to bring a sufficient supply and for the dosage to be clearly marked.
Vaccinations
Owners must have their dogs vaccinated against the following: Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Distemper and Leptospirosis at least 14 days before arrival. We do not insist on the Kennel Cough vaccination however it would be preferred please make sure this is given at least 21 days before arrival. Proof of vaccines must be shown at check in, without proof of all vaccinations we hold the right to refuse entry to the kennels.
Deposits & Prices
When a booking is made, a £50 deposit must be paid. The deposit is non-refundable and are non-transferable. The deposit is required when booking your dog(s) in to guarantee a kennel. The balance of fees are payable on arrival of your dog(s). Deposits can be taken via card, cash or bank transfer.
Our rates are charged from the day of drop off to the day of collection. If you pick your dog(s) up between 9AM-10AM on day of departure you wont be charged for that day however if your dog(s) leave after 10AM and before 2PM you will be charged for that day at the normal rate.
Prices may change without prior notice.
If you collect your dog(s) prior to their departure date you will not be refunded or credited for doing so.
Bedding/Belongings
Bedding, food and bowls for your dog during their stay with us is included in the daily rate. If you choose to bring your own bedding or toys, we can’t guarantee their safe return. Please do not bring foam beds or quilts as they are unsuitable for use in our kennels.
The management take no responsibility for any items left in the kennels by the owners.
Drop off & collection times
We are open 365 days per year for boarding.
Drop off times are between 10AM-2PM
Collection times are between 9AM-10AM Or 10AM-2PM
Dog(s) collected before 10AM on day of departure will not be charged for that day
We are closed for drop off and collection on the following days, Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Insurance
All dogs are fully insured whilst in our care by Pet Plan.
General
We require an emergency contact number in case your dog has to be taken home. This must not be you or somebody who is going away with you. It should be someone who can be contacted in an emergency.
All Dogs must arrive and depart from Riverside Kennels on a lead.
Riverside Kennels reserve the right to turn away any pet which they feel is not suited to be boarded.
For personnel safety reasons we will not board a dog who is known to be aggressive either towards people or other dogs. Similarly, we don’t board breeds highlighted by, or similar to, those described in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or who have had a Dog Control Notice previously served on them.
We do not encourage dogs with aggressive or destructive temperaments, In cases where dogs are left that prove to be aggressive towards staff, or destructive to our facilities, we will contact you to arrange their removal. All damages caused by an dogs to any area will be chargeable to the dogs owner.
If a dog is not collected within 14 days of the agreed collection date, and we have been unable to contact the owners, we reserve the right to take steps to responsibly re-home the dog.
